In my opinion it is no because when you chew a gum it may take 1 hour but like Violet in Charlie and the chocolate factory she chews a gum every time

“Don’t swallow your gum! It’ll take seven years to digest it!” If you chew gum, chances are you’ve been told that it’s dangerous to swallow it. You’ve probably even heard horror stories about giant wads of chewing gum hanging around in your gut for as many as seven years. But the good news is that chewing gum won’t remain in your system for seven years, and likely not even seven days, if you swallow it will not stick to your insides. In fact, you’ll probably be rid of it in a day or two.

No,I do not think so it will take seven years to digest. They tell it so that children will not swallow it.

Yes, I do not think the gum will take 7 years to digest. Gum, along with other waste products, passes out of your body with your next bowel movement, usually within one to three days of ingestion. It’s the same way your body handles other hard-to-digest foods like popcorn kernels, seeds, and other high-fiber items. Chewing gum won’t remain in your system for seven years, and likely not even seven days, if you swallow it. Nor will it stick to your insides. In fact, you’ll probably be rid of it in a day or two.

Ans- As a child, you heard the familiar threat from your mother: if you swallow your chewing gum, it will be stuck in your stomach for 7 years
